I’m teaching several courses at the department of Economic History, Lund University in the master programme Economic Growth, Population and Development and in the bachelor programme Economy and Society.
Population and Living Standards
This is a master level course, taught together with Luciana Quaranta, Gabriel Brea Martinez and Louise Cormack. I teach six lectures on optimistic and pessimistic (Malthusian) views on the relation between population size and the living standard. More information here.
Advanced topic: Kin and health
In this master level tutorial, we study similarities between relatives in health and lifespan from a long-term and intergenerational perspective. In small groups with a maximum of 4 students, we address themes such as the developments of inequalities in health and survival in the long term, the rise of the social gradient in health, and how relatives’ likelihood to live to high ages and age in good health are correlated.
Research Design, Methods and Data Collection
In the bachelor programme Economy and Society, I teach Research Design, Methods and Data Collection together with Faustine Perrin, Alexandra Cermeno Lopez and Youssouf Merouani.
Master Thesis
I supervise first and second year master theses, mostly with a demographic or economic history focus. Please be in touch if you would like to write your master thesis under my supervision.
